Meet Dr. Kelly McMonagle Matthews

Wyncote Orthodontics is a neighborhood practice built on relationships and thoughtful, personalized care.

Dr. Kelly is a mom, neighbor, and orthodontist who lends an artist’s eye to each and every smile she creates. She believes thoughtful planning and consistency of care are key to a smooth, fast, and predictable orthodontic outcome. Dr. Kelly is the face you will see at every visit–and probably around the neighborhood too! She is a Cheltenham resident.

When Dr. Kelly is not in the office, she is working on a house project with her husband, Rasheed, or chasing her two sons around the playground. Possibly also, petting her cat Clifford. Dr. Kelly can’t wait to get to know you and your smile!

Everything families ask us before their first visit — plans, pricing, and what to actually expect in the chair.

What happens at my free consultation?

We'll take a digital scan, examine your bite, and walk you through exactly what treatment (if any) makes sense — no pressure, no obligation. Most visits run about 45 minutes, and you'll leave with a written plan and pricing on the same day.

What age should my child see an orthodontist?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial screening by age 7. Early exams don't always mean early treatment — often we simply monitor growth and step in only when timing is right.

Braces or Invisalign — how do we choose?

It comes down to lifestyle and the complexity of the case. Traditional braces work around the clock with no compliance required; clear aligners are removable and nearly invisible but rely on you wearing them 20+ hours a day. We'll recommend the best fit at your consultation.

Do you offer payment plans and financing?

Yes. We build interest-free in-house payment plans around your family's budget, and we work with most major insurance providers. Ask us about a customized plan at your first visit.

How long does treatment typically take?

Most patients finish in 12 to 24 months, depending on the starting bite and treatment type. We'll give you a personalized timeline once your plan is set, and we track progress at every visit.

Do adults get orthodontic treatment too?

Absolutely — nearly a quarter of our patients are adults. Discreet options like clear aligners and ceramic braces make it easy to straighten your smile without it taking over your daily life.
